The Lofoten Islands are situated off of the West Coast of Norway and inside the Arctic Circle. The climate here is governed by the Gulf Stream, which ensures a relatively mild climate considering the Archipelago’s proximity to the North Pole. Whist here, we encountered Auroras, heavy snow showers, rain, strong wind and glorious light, all topped off by granite peaks, rocky inlets and snow covered beaches.

Nice to see a little Aurora

Vic Beach.

Nice contrast between red and white.

Hamnøy view point, possibly the most photographed location on the Island.

A winters stroll.
